Pear Tree Cottage

 A retrofit of existing tiny two bedroom cottage and 1970’s extension. The home had a deep retrofit in 2018 close to (but not quite!) the Passivhaus enerPHit standard. This includes new external wall insulation using Warmcell blown insulation and woodfibre boards. The roof and floor was insulated and new triple glazing installed. The house has an air tightness of 1.5 ACH and heat recovery ventilation. Heating is provided by a monoblock heat pump, PVs and solar thermal domestic hot water are also installed. The house is energy positive with energy monitoring installed.
