 Our house is an old solid-wall semi-detached property with a cavity-wall extension at the back - all extenally insulated (including warm-deck flat roof). The loft has been spray-foamed insulated between rafters (don't roll your eyes!). Our sun room has recently had a solid roof fitted to reduce heat losses. There is a self-built grid-tied 3.2 kWp solar PV system installed on our garage roof and a 1kWp (vertically) wall-mounted system - both made with second-hand components. The garden also features a small off-grid wind turbine and a self-built "eco-pod". We drive a second-hand plug-in hybrid car which we use mostly in electric mode (charged using cheap overnight tariff). And I almost forgot... I converted an old dinghy catamaran to electric propulsion with a solar panel to extend the range. I will be happy to share my ups (some) and downs (many) and discuss future projects (just don't tell my wife).
